GIBSON L-1 REPLICA

Being a fan of early blues music I decided to make a replica of the famous Robert Johnson guitar The Gibson L-1, based on plans taken from a 1926 model. I modified the design slightly by using a V shaped radius on the neck and using Turquoise for the inlays, I always made a pyramid bridge with boxwood capstones to add a little more detail. The rest of the guitar is faithful to the 1920’s original including the original H bracing on the top.
